The Peabody Opera Theatre will present Mozart’s comedy Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio) in two performances on Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 pm. Garnett Bruce is the stage director and Hajime Teri Murai will lead the Peabody Concert Orchestra.
The cast for Saturday’s performance includes Rachel Blaustein as Konstanze, Carrie Quarquesso as Blonde, John Noh as Belmonte, Josh Diaz as Pedrillo, Joshua Hughes as Pasha, and Aaron Sorensen in the role of Osmin. On Sunday, Christine Lyons will sing Konstanze, Bethany Baxter is Blonde, James Kil is Belmonte, Chuanqi Shang is Pedrillo, John An is the Pasha, and ChunFeng Li sings Osmin.
